Mario Party for the DS whops a punch, with TONS of great Mini-Games, and modes, showing the Mario Party Series can be a hit on a handheld. Take Control of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, and Yoshi, and battle on 5 different boards. All in 3D like the console versions. Go around these boards landing on various spaces, getting and using items, and as always, trying to get the most stars.
Not a big variety of spaces like some others, but still a good amount, Duel Spaces are in this game, Chance Spaces, Classic Blue and Red Spaces, and a "friend space" where you choose another player, and you each get 5 coins.

There are a wide variety of mini-games, and not just tons that use the stylus. Many classic dpad and button mini-games, as well as some stylus and mic games. Many new original games, not just tons of click "A" really really fast mini-games. Great games that are new, fresh, and compete with console mini-games.

There are many modes, a single player story mode where you go across the 5 boards competeing against the computer, and if you win a board you verse a big boss in a bigger mini-game. There is also Party Mode, which is just select a board, and verse the computers. There is also Puzzle Mode, with different puzzle games, Mini-Game Mode to just play Mini-Games. There is also Multuplayer mode to verse up to 3 others off 1 game pak. You can do basically everything in multiplayer, board play, mini-game play, puzzle play, and more.

Mario Party DS hits the system with some great mini-games, and refreshing the series, it has been a major it in Japan so far, and looks to be a big hit around the world as well. With sales high, there may be a Mario Party DS 2 in the future.
