The first Game Boy came out and really started the whole handheld
market, so of course they needed a Super Mario Title to help push the
system, although it seemed the system pushed itself.
Super Mario Land, was an ok handheld Super Mario Game. It's of course a
2D Sidescroller, you go through a decent amount of levels, avoiding and
defeating enemies, as well as jumping to and from a variety of
platforms.
There are some new interesting enemies in this game, and some good
music.
The game is a fun simple Super Mario title, and a great addition for
the Game Boy.
The game does just feel and sort of look different than other Mario
games; saying this while still keeping in mind its greyscale.
