The 2nd game in the seemlessly neverending Mario Party Series. This game takes off where the original ended, and runs with it, adding tons of new games while keeping old games, and adding tons of new additions.

New Boards as all the Mario Party Games give us, Western Board, Pirate Board, and more. The characters return, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, DK, and Wario. Each will get a different costume depending on the board, ever want to see Mario wearing a cowboy hat? Well now you can. :)

There are new spaces to the boards, there is now a Koopa Bank Space, where you either walk past and are forced to deposit coins, or land on it and get all the coins that have been deposited. There is a battle space, where all 4 characters will put in a certain amount of coins, 10, 20, etc, and then battle in a game for the coins. Anoter space, and rather big edition to the game is an Item Space, or Item Shop. Mario Party 2 Introduced using items, which has continued onward. You can only hold 1 item at a time, items include a Mushroom and Golden Mushroom to hit 2 or 3 blocks at a time, and a skeleton key to open doors and get to secret paths in the game.
There is also an Item Game Space, where you can play a little game to try and get an item.

But the essential gameplay is still the same from the original, go around a board, try and buy a star from toad, play mini-games, have fun, and watch out for Bowser. :P
