A prequel to Super Mario World. This game has completely different graphics, sound, and gameplay. The only thing that really links it with Super Mario World is the story.
In SMW2: Yoshi's Island, you play as Yoshi. You are carrying Baby Mario, and must get him safely across 8 worlds, and eventually fight Baby Bowser who has kidnapped Baby Luigi.
The game is a 2D Sidescrolling Action. There will be a variety of new and a few old enemies to get by and defeat. Yoshi now has an egg attack.
He can swallow enemies and turn them into eggs, which he can then shoot. He can shoot them at other enemies, as well as anything else you wish too.
The power in this game is tracked by Baby Mario.
If an enemy touches you, Baby Mario will start floating off you, and a counter starting at 10 will count down, if you don't grab him back, enemies will take Baby Mario and you lose. The counter can be increased up to 30.
One of the many popular elements of this game is the unique graphics,
which look like crayon drawings.
SMW2 is a great original title, and is loved by many.
