Super Mario 64 Review
Introduction:
Welcome to my review on the game that revolutionized 3D Gaming, and made the N64 an instant success.

Gameplay:
3D Platforming in its most powerful form. Take control of Mario and enter Princesses Castle, entering Paintings which will bring you too Mini-Worlds, each with their own unique design and environment, a Grass World, Desert World, Water World, Lava World, Underground World, Snow World, etc.
In each world there will be 7 star missions to complete, missions will vary from world to world, battle a big boss, manage to get to a certain area, race a Mommy Penguin, you know, the usual. But in all worlds there is a mission to collect 8 Red Coins which are scattered, and collect 100 coins.

This is a 3D Platformer, so there will be tons of different platforms to jump to and from, some still, some moving around. Mario has a variety of jumps to use, a back flip, long jump, triple jump, wall jump, etc.
So basically enter the levels, try and make your way around the vast amount of obstacles and enemies.

The game is just brilliant. The mechanics of how everything work is just perfect. You can just jump in and have tons of fun in this enormous game, enter different worlds, run around, try and jump quick and run quick to get to areas, battle enemies, and just have fun getting shot out of a cannon and flying with a special flying hat.

Gameplay 10/10

Graphics:
Beautiful graphics, a great launch title too show off the incredible power of the N64. Mario looks great, the environments are varied and look amazing colourful, and original, and some great looking enemies.

Graphics 8.5/10

Sound:
Perfect Sound. For the first time in a game you get to hear Mario's voice, and Charles Martinet nails the voices of Mario. The background music is wonderful, each world has perfect music which compliments that world perfectly. The soundfx of jumping, getting coins, etc is right on.
They couldn't have done a better job at the sound in the game.

Sound 10/10

Challenge:
The game can be challenging if your a newcomer to the N64. Back when I first played this when the 64 came out, I had some difficulty on it. But now if your more used to 3D Gaming and analog sticks, it won't be as challenging, but if it's your first time on this game, you'll encounter some challenging areas at times, trying to get all 120 Stars in this game can be challenging, because there is always those few stars that you personally find difficult to get.

Challenge 7/10

Replayability:
This game can be replayed over and over again, I've been replaying it for over a Decade, so that must show this game can last. It's always fun after you've beaten it, to come on, and try and get all 120 stars again, or just turn the game on and have a quick slide race.

Replayability 10/10

Frustration:
Not a very frustrating game, but you can get frustrated at times when you just can't get a star. I remember when I had 119 Stars, I needed to get 100 Coins on The Clock World. Now that got frustrating, platforms kept moving, I kept getting close to 100 then falling to my death, but I eventually got it and it was all worth it.

Frustration 3/10

Value:
This game is worth every penny. Back when it was new and cost more it was worth every penny, and now that you should be able to get a cart for under $20, and usually much less than that, and on the Wii's Virtual Console it's worth every Wii Point.

Value 10/10

Overall:
Super Mario 64 is a brilliant game. It delivers amazing environments, and perfect gameplay mechanics and features, perfect sound; this is just a legendary title that needs to be played by everyone.

Super Mario 64 10/10

Conclusion:
It was a very happy and exciting time when I first got my N64 with Super Mario 64. I played it and played it and was addicted too it. I play it years later and still think of how an amazing game it is.
